The French Quarter, or Vieux Carre, is the oldest area of New Orleans and also on the highest ground. You'll see
buildings here dating back more than 200 years. There's something very special about the area that surrounds our
hotel. In New Orleans, people treasure the past and have preserved the Big Easy's grand mansions, old restaurants,
and antiquated businesses. While you're in town, make sure to stroll down Royal Street and check out the many
antique stores. The city's oldest, Kiel's, is truly a treasure-trove of beautiful furnishings. Head across the street to
Café Beignet for one of NOLA's fluffy, sugar-coated breakfast treats. Order your beignets with a café au lait, and
you'll seem like a regular. Then go shopping on the Riverwalk, amble by the Aquarium of the Americas or catch a
game at the Superdome. It's all within walking distance of our hotel in New Orleans.
