Class Outline
Join Laurie, Author of Watercolor Depth and Realism, for this exciting workshop! Watercolors don’t have to be
pale; learn how to make your work come alive with vibrant color and rich darks. You will also learn techniques you can
use to make reflective surfaces really appear to shine! Beginners and advanced painters alike will come away with a
new understanding of how to achieve a sense of visual depth through a series of exercises Laurie has carefully
designed to teach specific concepts. Lessons learned can be applied to any painting style or skill level. You will be
asked to bring any watercolor painting you have done and feel is too “flat” to the workshop, where you will have the
opportunity to rework it using your newly acquired skills. You will be amazed at the new levels of dimension you
create!   This class will be in the studio, with the exception of two en plein air sessions
